| ALUMINIUM MySQL InnoDB Failure Wed, 11 Jun 2008 13:00:00 GMT |
Unfortunately the ALUMINIUM database server has suffered a catastrophic failure involving MySQL. MySQL is now back online but database tables using the InnoDB storage engine are unrecoverable; these tables represent less than 1% of the total tables on the server since MyISAM is the default and recommended storage engine - tables are only created using the InnoDB storage engine if specifically requested at creation time. Customers with InnoDB tables will need to restore from a backup (or we can do this on request). Additionally, we recommend converting any InnoDB tables to the MyISAM storage engine. The Microsoft SQL Server instance running on ALUMINIUM is unaffected. |
